“BED-MET Wiesław Bednarz” is a professional carrier of heavy and off-gauge cargo.

             The firm was established in 1996. Since then, we gained a plenty of experience in the field of public and international road cargo.

             Highly qualified drivers of “BED-MET” are able to take care of every load. They are equipped with mobile phones, so as to make up-to-date contact with the firm and the clients.

We always made all the efforts to fulfill conditions of delivery order. It is due to our well-prepared logistic support equipment.

             “BED-MET” is run according to the CMR Convention, Imported Law and Civil Code. Our loads are insured up to the OC Policy. Moreover, we cooperate with many transport and transport-forwarding companies, so we can satisfy the most requiring clients. We can put forefronts our challenge.

             We work 365 days a year, and ensure to deliver every load as fast and safe as possible.

The history of "BED-MET" (from 1996 until today)     

             “BED-MET Wiesław Bednarz” was registered on 24th September 1996. Between 1996-1998 it had three drivers and the office work was done by Mr Bednarz himself. The head office was in the rented building.

The great investments were done between 1999-2003. New means of transport were bought and new, highly qualified drivers, mechanics and office workers were employed.

In 2001, a piece of land was bought by Oświęcimska Street in Opole, on the area of “Metalchem” Company. There are: a head office building with a parking site and a 300m2 garage.

There are some offices with a social back in the office building. The garage was built in 2004 and we do current repairs of our cars and trucks.

We employ 30 people now.

We have twenty MAN and Renault truck-tractors: tetraxial (8x4), riaxial (6x4), triaxial (6x2), and biaxials.

We own special semitrailers only: low-loading semitrailers and platforms: biaxial, triaxial, tetraxial pentaxial and hexaxial. More information is available in the Equipment.

              The truck-tractors are equipped with media, such as: CB radio, mobiles, signalling equipment, which are required to transport off-gauge cargo. Apart from these, tractor-semitrailers have current TUV, Dekra and Paragraph 70, and constant permissions from Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Italy and Poland.

All our trucks have installed modern GPS systems which allow us control yours cargo.

             The off-gauge cargoes are run by our professional team of “BED-MET” using special pilotage cars.
Realization of transport orders is based on our knowledge and experience in the field of long-term activity. The experience in load transport let us broaden our service, because previously we had done the service only in Poland. Nowadays, we have the service all over Europe.
“BED-MET” organizes a complex transport service from loading through gaining of proper permissions, civil and police pilotage, water transport and reloading to a barge. We also advise any client as far as the best protection of a load and customs clearance are concerned. Our long-term activity let us make a web of cooperation with Polish or foreign companies and institutions . Thanks to the web of cooperation, we are able to realize every off-gauge cargo as fast as possible.

             “BED-MET” has got an International Transport Licence issued by a Polish Ministry of Infrastructure, and this Licence was renewed into European Licence ( International cargo transport ) after the polish accession to the EU.

The owner, Mr Wiesław Bednarz, has got a  Certificate of Proficiency in international road transport of goods and a Permission Number 948/2005 concerning TIR procedure.

Many producers and companies, which became acquainted with the quality of our services, have trusted them. The quality was proved by the Management System ISO 9001:2000

BED-MET” Wiesław Bednarz became a prize-winner of 2003 competition  „European Firm ” , led under the auspices of Prof. Danuta Hubner, the Ministry Of European Affairs .
